Sindagmatos

It was named in remembrance of the uprising of the Greeks on September 3rd, 1843 [Place Names]. Their fundamental objective, among others, was the granting of Constitution ({Sindagma ~ Σύνταγμα} = constitution) by King Otto {Othon ~ Όθων} [People]. Soldiers and Civilians flocked in the square in front of the palace and since then that square is called Sindagmatos ({Συντάγματος} = of the constitution) square.
