Dimitrios Filippotis {Δημήτριος Φιλιππότης} (1839-1919). Sculptor. Filippotis studied in Rome and worked in Athens [Place Names], contributing greatly to the development of sculpture in Greece.

Most of the statues that ornament public parks and squares in Athens, as well as most of the monuments and a host of tombstones, busts and other scupltures in the unique sculpture house of the First Cemetery of Athens are the work of sculptors from Tinos {Τήνος} island, Dimitrios Filippotis, Giannoulis Halepas {Γιαννούλης Χαλεπάς}, L. Sohos {Λ. Σώχος} and I. Vitalis {Ι. Βιτάλης} being among them.
