Omonias

Back to where you came from. The same text in Greek.

{Ομονοίας}. Omonias square, until 1862, was called Otto {Othon ~ Όθων} square. Since then though it has be renamed to its current name, symbolic of the "omonia" ({Ομόνοια} = concord) of the Greeks, which was so important for the nation after the uprising and the overthrow of King Otto [People], which took place that same year.
